Winter in Verbier is all about its close proximity to great skiing. These Pennine Alps provide the backbone separating northern Europe from southern Europe. Drive 40 minutes south through the Saint Bernard tunnel, and one arrives in the Aosta Valley of Italy. Drive 40 minutes north over the Rhone valley, and one arrives to yet another radically different climatic area. As such, we can chose to go where conditions are best on a daily basis. Whether it’s skiing off-piste/backcountry in Verbier, wide open bowls in Italy, high alpine ice in Chamonix, or heliskiing right from the lifts in Verbier, this little valley provides great winter opportunities.
