Why are there more snowboarders than skiers in Verbier in the off season? Verbier rocks for its mega downhill capacity. The Funispace lift whisks you quickly to the top of Attelas. From there, ramp off the walls of an Attelas Couloir for a warm-up run. Take it 1500 meters, right down to Verbier town.

Verbier has the couloirs to bars right in your face. But where it really rules, is its huge area of hidden off-piste, easily accessible right from the lifts. There are so many different valleys, slopes, and chutes to choose from, one can still find untracked days after a storm. Add some hiking to your repertoire, and one gets powder no matter when it last snowed.

With a split-board or snow shoes, hiking opens up vast, untracked valleys to the rider who wants it. Add light axe and pair of crampons to the pack and a bit of technical climbing gets onto some pretty spectacular peaks.

I am passionate about boarding, and hope I can take you to some of my favorite spots.
