Another update!!!We are off to a late start this year on the North
side of the Alps.
The South side had good snow at higher elevations
in late November. The ice climbing was good in this valley until the snow came
one week ago. Climbers were coming from all over, as conditions were not ideal
elsewhere. 50cm fell on bare ground last week. It was brown on the southern
slopes right to the top of Attelas!
The skiing was quite nice over moderate terrain. (Photo)With the mild temperatures this past week, that snow has packed down to form a good base. It has snowed lightly all night here. The south is again getting the big dump! The forecast calls for more snow here Monday. Posted: Sun - December 26, 2004 at 05:33 AM |
