14 days Sail- Cruising the French and English Coasts

We sailed from Falmouth to Penzance, then across to the Scilly Islands. (large and small photos)

What a fabulous trip this was. In 2 weeks, we racked-up over 500 sea miles on a beautiful Halberg-Rassey, 46 foot, center cockpit yacht. The company was great- a group of keen sailors for the French speaking part of Switzerland. Jean Marc Siegrist, "Sugus", put this trip together and made it wonderful. Merci Sugus!

After spending a couple of days in the Scilly Islands, walking and looking at the seals, we headed across the English Channel at 2AM. We reached Aber Wrac'h at 10PM, making for a very technical sail, using alignments to avoid the rocks. This coast of Brittany is wonderful to sail. Many calculations are required to make landfall safely.

Five days later saw us heading North again, to the Channel Island of Alderney. What a funny place this is! Lots of money it seems, and fun times for all. Guernsey, was next, then back across to England and the very famous Solent.

I just wanted to keep on sailing! And I shall be back...
