Skiing is still nice in this Val du
Bagnes

The layers are slowly starting to bond within the
snow pack. 5 days ago, I got the fresh layer to pop on my column of snow at 1
measly wrist tap. Now that layer goes at the first shoulder slap. The cold
weather has not promoted a rapid consolidation of these layers, and that old
troubled layer is still with us. But stability is slowly
coming.

We did a href="http://www.swissguides.com/trips/050129/index.html">classic
run to the valley floor today, getting on some slopes over 30 degrees. This cold
weather is expected to last a couple more days before another low moves over us
Tuesday…
